Second Night - Holy Shit
OMG OMG
Okay slight fanboy moment.
But first to the barrier was awesome!
We worked out heading to side would be the best bet for us, we had no real crush from the crowd and a fantastic view.

We started by heading to a meet up and we chatted to a few fan club members.
We had two beers and then headed out to wait for the early entry.
There was the option at this point to get more beer but we decided that being sensible was the way to go. This confused both Terry and I.
During the opening band I suggested Terry should scream out PLAY SOME SLAYER, he started laughing, he had thought I had heard some one scream it out.
The set list was good (we already knew the rough layout).
The Red and the Black really opens up as a live song, way more energy than the album version.

Bruce ripped Eddies heart during The Book Of Souls and sacrificed it, brought over to the side we were and sprayed “blood” all over Janick before throwing it into the audience spraying us with “blood” with a chunk hitting my beard.
The legacy songs as Bruce called them really sent the crowd going, Bruce did a few clothing changes and delivered with the flag and jacket in the trooper.

Fantastic use of inflatable props for the giant Eddie and Beast, really big props that they could put up and take down really quickly.

The band seemed in a really good mood and were goofing off, running around and playing with Nicko’s drums.
We finished the night with a couple more beers and then a couple of pies as we had missed dinner due to the early access.
For some reason we are in the South Island and a local brewery still manages to have such low turn over that all the Emerson’s we were served was past the best before, it affected the 1812 but the London Porter was tasting great.

Fantastic night and we are now waiting in Christchurch air port to head to Dunedin for Black Sabbath tonight.
